Rarely head that way, but after picking up kids new shirts from club shop I pulled out onto west end road, and did 3/4’s of the drive towards sainsburys in the bus lane without even noticing 😂 Awaiting the fine! (If they are handing them out) [Post edited 8 Aug 2023 16:53]

Bus lane on 18:11 - Aug 8 with 1599 views | Pinewoodblue | Don’t recall Ipswich’s MP taking any interest in a crazy idea from Suffolk County Council. Presumably the restrictions are in place 24/7, makes sense with the last park & ride leaving Town centre just after 7pm. At least Suffolk Police will be able to get away coaches on their way easier. Hopefully Ipswich’s next MP will campaign for Unitary Authority status for Ipswich, even though it would swallow up Pinewood and other villages.

I'm in favour of a Unitary Authority if only because I would enjoy hearing the phrase being repeated over and over again in a Suffolk accent.

the point people always miss with stuff like this is that it may not suit your absolute individual circumstance but it probably could suit the vast majority of circumstances of other people, and if all those that could use public transport in these circumstances did, there would be a helluva lot less cars on the road, alot less congestion and everyone would end up as winners from it. whilst everyone treats a car as their personal and only transport system, you will have to put up with the consequences of that choice and the congestion caused by it.

And if the bus doesn't quite get you where you need to go you can always walk the rest of the way (with the necessary disclaimer for any TWTDers with mobility issues of course.)
