You should know by now that only Norwich get to choose the parameters for comparing history.
But there is a direct comparison that they conveniently overlook.
One team LOST to Inter in 1993.
The other team BEAT Inter more recently.
As above, one held a commemorative ‘legends’ anniversary game, the other didn’t.
But when your club measures success by its league position relative to only one other club, then it’s no wonder such a big deal is made of mediocrity. | | | |

Fair point, to some extent. You've certainly edged us for minor trophies over that select period. Although we've played twelve games in Europe in that time - a mere handful in terms of our pedigree, but twice as many as your club has ever played!
But my comments are (admittedly childishly) picking on and sneering at your club's undeniably cheesy celebration of great big non-events. Please don't take this personally as you're one of my favourite posters on here recently, and I'm only doing the thing that I find hard to resist.

YellowRider is going to claim 40 years of dominance as we have matched their failure to win any trophies over that time.
The budgie could be pointed towards Lyall's title win, our European tours and at least one demolition derby but I can't really be bothered. They will probably add up all their promotions, goals scored against us and trip to Germany and somehow claim it trump's our records.
There is no denying their "dominance" over us for the past decade but the feathered one is somewhat delusional thinking it stretches back anywhere close to 40 years. |  |
