In the last 2 games, Omari has been brought down in the box, and neither was given. Both times, Omari quickly looked up to see if the ref was giving the pen. Players on other teams seem to roll around in agony, or bang their fist on the ground instead of turning to the ref. I can't help wondering if the pens are more likely to be given if it is a bit less obvious that he is looking for a pen and seems more like he has been hurt. |  |

Thought Huddersfield looked a stonewall pen.. And perhaps the Hull one was just on the edge of the box when contact is made... Either way, imo, both get given as fouls if they happen on the half way line.... I think, our squad mentality is quite decent, in terms of how we act towards officials. I don't think we are a team that disrespects and gets in the face of the ref.... Maybe we are missing a trick, in trying to "persuade" them, at times?
But I think the ethos is to just play our football and get the rewards from playing "the right way", if that makes sense?
Thought Burns reaction to Omari being manhandled at Huddersfield was uncharacteristic, but warranted. Being as he's just a kid and the fella literally picked him up and chucked him back down again...
We've seen KM come out with comments last season, when the officiating started affecting our results and we didn't get awarded pens that looked bang on pens.. He probably will again, if it gets silly with spot kicks turned down.. But I think he likes the players to just get on with playing in the right spirit, as much as possible,, |  | | |

It was bang out of order. And for some reason their crowd were booing Hutchinson for the rest of the match?? Glad he stuck at it and had a big hand in our equaliser. Showed a lot of character in dealing with the hostility...

Yeah, my Huddersfield mate said he wasn't picked up and chucked to the ground. Instead Hutchinson levitated into their player's hands and threw himself to the ground, and that's why he deserved to be booed from then on. |  |

The one v Hull was outside the box.
And I still don’t know how we didn’t get one v Wolves when Humphreys was brought down. It was a foul, it was in the box. I’m not sure what else it needed to be…. The theory that it needs to be more of a foul to be a penalty is nonsense - if it’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch, it’s a foul in the penalty box. |  |
