Not at all. I often have tinned M&S chunky steak on a toast for lunch.

Staying with tinned food, I noticed last night that a small tin of red salmon in the Co-op is now five quid!

That sounds fine to me. Tinned food is underestimated.

It comes with a very nice gravy which wets the sandwich and is very tasty.

And I have the steak cold.

Cold? Well, it sounds a step too far but I’d give it a go.

For the connoisseur, last night’s kofte kebab (the flattened dogs c0ck one) nuked and laid lovingly in a fresh buttered roll is a breakfast delight.

Perhaps surprisingly I find some foods as good as, if not better, when cold or cooled.

Sausages (on toast)and pizza spring to mind. And I prefer Spanish potato omelette cold rather than heated up.

I think its because heating masks some of the flavours.

Isn't that one step of separation from dog food?

For me, breaded cod fillet (Co-op) with thin chips (Morrisons - disappointing) and chestnut mushrooms in a dab of sunflower oil with some ancient rosemary from the garden, home made rhubarb and blackberry crumble but with custard from Morrisons powder (used the same saucepan that I boiled the rhubarb and blackcurrant in so the custard was pink.) Finished off with a couple of squares of Lidl 74% cocoa chocolate. Half a cup of Morrisons Apple and mango juice to drink.

It's in gravy so more like stewed chunky beef. But as it's from M & S, it's top quality, with virtually no fat.

Maybe I can persuade you?

EDIT: it's a damn sight cheaper in M & S.

Not a fan of cold pizza. Now cold sausages (good quality ones - happy days!. And yes, a lot of stuff you associate with heating up is fine cold. Baked beans are a good example. Remember those ones with the dogs todger in? Now hot or cold you had to be hungry to eat that.

Now a cold doner kebab just looks like it’s been passed through the dog but nuked, it’s good - as long as you get the green stuff (old lettuce) and pitta bread remains into the bin.

The problem with tinned food (apart from it tasting mediocre) is that its squashed. I like my foods to be seperated
