We wanted Philogene. Must admit the prospect of him playing under McKenna would be absolutely mouthwatering, he's so good. But arguably if we landed him we wouldn't have got Omari, so who knows.

Delap looked very handy but that's to be expected. Can't see him making it at City so he'll be looking for a permanent home in a year or two I'd imagine.

Strikes me as one of those players that will just score goals. A bit like a Chopra, will go quiet for spells but a fox in the box where he comes to life. His movement is good, and he can finish. Already had 5 in the league before last night, which is some return at this stage of the season given he had only started 5 games. When he broke through at Brighton and scored 2 against Spurs on his debut I thought we might be seeing someone special emerge, but his career has seemed to stall with injuries and potential off field issues. | | | |
