They are completely broken aren't they?

Probably their only shot of qualifying for Europe going up in smoke.

I think we could do with Ten Hag being sacked sooner rather than later. I still think it's too early for them to even consider McKennna but if he gets us up and then they sack him, I think there a good chance he'll be considered for the job. If they sack him now they'll have another manager in for another 18 months before it all goes wrong again.

Currently Man Utd seem to have the Marcus Evans touch glossed all over them. A crumbling stadium, their nearest rivals overshadowing them, inept owners and no football identity.

I personally don't think McKenna would get that job in the next 5/6 years, let alone the next 18 months.

That's no slight on him, obviously, but they will go for another European name.

They are the original glory hunting team. So many plastic supporters that have never been within 20 miles of Manchester let alone Old Trafford. Now they are unfashionable and cr@p, I guess those people will have to chop their overpriced shirts in for a sky blue one.

It’s great.

When I was at school, United were mid-table mediocrity under Sexton, then Atkinson. Despite this, they were still annoyingly well supported by plastics, while Town were conquering Europe.

Also, when Peachey Sports was open on St Matthews Street, you had a choice of two replica shirts. Them and Liverpool.

I can't remember them doing anything when I was at school except I think maybe won the FA Cup??

We were always a better team than them - and the thing that always confuses me is when people relate to our FA Cup win over Arsenal as a giant killing, Ipswich were always above Arsenal in the few years before and after. It was only that particular season we had a blip in the league.

McKenna is no where near ready enough to take on a job of that magnitude.. And I mean that in the nicest possible way... So much dog sh1t and baggage at that club, atm... Maybe when they eventually get rid of the Glazers and look for a totally fresh start and rebuild.
If that takes a few years, and KM has done well. Then he'll probably be half way down a very long list of candidates.
Their club needs an overhaul, been papering over cracks since a few years before Fergie went. And its well and truly caught up with them. Don't think Sir Alex' still kicking about. Does anyone any favors either... Equally, if Carrick does well, he'll probably be on that list, perhaps a place or two above KM. Imo.

Agree that McKenna is unlikely to be offered the job for a while, but I definitely wouldn't bet against a really gung-ho, well the fans say they want something different, this'll learn them sort of appointment, like Evans & Hurst.

There is absolutely no chance McKenna goes directly from us to Man Utd unless he performs something miraculous like Ranieri at Leicester, and even then I'd be surprised. Somewhere like Everton in between, I could see, although they got their fingers burnt badly with Moyes so maybe even that is stretching things.
