I ask because I've just seen the VAR disallowed Man Utd goal.
Jenas was talking about it being a VAR referral back to the referee. (He went back to look at it on the monitor). Well if its subjective to the referee why not stand by his decision in the game? Surely that was his 'subjective' view on things. VAR is just trashing the game. |  |

Subjective in that whether Maguire was interfering with play was a matter of subjective judgement.
Usually whether someone is offside or not is a matter of objective fact, that doesn't require the referee to make a judgement. |  |

Could be a bit like umpires call in Cricket, not that this has ever been a rule as far as I am aware in football
The FA seem hell bent on making a mess of VAR, other countries seem to handle it far better? |  |

VAR could be improved by not making any ruling on any goal until Match of the Day and listening to the pundits. A consensus reached from them would then lead to which goals stand and which don't. The results would then be announced at the end of the show.
It would fit with the reason it was brought in at all - because the pundits over-analysed every decision. |  |
