I actually had to check it was the same bloke. As you say, quite rational and honest in his assessment of the game and obviously not happy with the current state of their lot despite a few positive results.

Seemed a lot less whiney and his accent mellowed in the studio, which I thought was odd. Normal service on commentary where the radio voice took over.

I was very surprised. Possibly realised that if he wasn't realistic, Matt Holland would have a field day with him!

Whenever I have heard him speak about us recently he has been pretty positive - seemed that the only thing on 606 yesterday that he was trying to get a reaction to was that KMcK comment about 21 points - very amusing.

The downside to all this is just how irritating he will be in the unlikely event that we do not make it - there is some more motivation...

It pains me to say it, but watching the sky recording, I thought he was quite objective and actually worked well with Matt Holland tbf.

Still a grade A door handle though and of course, never to be forgiven 😃.
