Dane Scarlett 22:26 - Jan 17 with 2053 views | ITFCMonk | What’s the situation with him at the moment? Is he allowed to go out on loan to another club apart from us or is that not within the loan / registration rules? Is it worth trying to bring him back if we can?

Dane Scarlett on 22:29 - Jan 17 with 2014 views | pointofblue | Players are only allowed to play for two teams a season - he has already played for us and Spurs, so can only go to another club to sit in the stands. It's basically us or no one.

In that case I do wonder when exactly Spurs actioned a recall clause. I know they made the decision before Hirst got injured, but was that even possible to recall until January? I would imagine he would still be with us if Spurs knew about the length of Hirsts injury before officially recalling him. Not sure about anyone else but all seems bizarre to me. Makes me wonder why we even agreed a recall clause in the first place if it doesn’t have to be an option.

Dane Scarlett on 22:37 - Jan 17 with 1942 views | FrimleyBlue | I've since found out he can play for a 3rd side in a different country dependent on their season start date. Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season

Dane Scarlett on 22:41 - Jan 17 with 1916 views | King_of_Portman_Rd | Fairly certain he was recalled due to a few injuries they were racking up.. that plus Son going off to the Asia Cup so they were looking quite thin in terms of attacking options. He’s highly thought of there (evidenced by him getting some minutes this season) so I would imagine they perhaps wanted to have him around in case he’s needed. That said they’ve just signed Werner so that may push him down the pecking order, but I’d imagine he’ll stay at Spurs and get some matches on the bench for the 1st team between now and May

Excuse it would have been Spurs choice to put it in and why wouldn't they. They had a striker shortage with Son going away for Asia Cup. They may well let him return to us towards the end of Jan if he wishes. I imagine he was a bit frustrated with game time. Might come down to who we bring in and whether he and spurs think he'll get more game time.

Thanks. So he may be able to go to America, for example.
