My question is and it doesn't just apply to Town is why players are sustaining so many injuries. Back in the days of the George Burley's, Micky Mill etc they played far more games than they do now. The squads weren't as big and the amount of subs far less. Yes we had injured players such as the Beat who had doggy knees but recently I was watching Butch and Russell Osman saying they had 4 games in 8 days. Can you imagine that now.
I suspect as they are finely tuned athletes nowadays, players aren't used to playing with slight knocks, so most are now made of glass. Those players used to not make it as professionals as they couldn't withstand a hard tackle
George Burley - long term injury cost us the treble. Kevin Beattie - always injured Kevin O'Callaghan - never played in goal again after breaking his arm
