I think I'm getting old because I think it's the right decision. I think rules should be black and white. If it touches you hand then it is breaking the rules.

I think we just need to simplify the whole thing.
If you NEED to draw a line, it’s not offside, if you NEED a ‘snickometer’ it’s not handball.
The game is becoming over officiated and the referee’s love it, because now they are more important than they ever were.
As Clive Tyldesley said last night, “you should be able to apply the rules at all levels, technology will always be different, but as a primary school games teacher, you try explaining to a 9 year old that their silhouette was in an ‘un-natural position’” |  |

It’s not a wrong decision. It’s a wrong rule. We need to go back to the definition of handball being intentional and deliberate. Just like the disallowed goal was technically correct, we need to make the line 12 inches wide so that people can’t be offside by millimetres. |  |
