We need him to stay for 5 years. God only knows how we do that, but that is what we need to happen. All we can hope is he is really really happy here, and ensure that the ownership group back him 100%. Then he sees that staying here for 5 years is worthwhile / great place to raise his young family for a few years.
We are going to have to get into the Champions League to keep him. I know it is not going to happen quickly, but we have to show enough ambition to make that a reality.
I am not stupid enough to realise that will be extremely hard to achieve, but we have to ride this wave to the max. This is our time. [Post edited 30 Sep 2024 13:45]

Mainly I agree we have copied their model.
But I would argue that Hurzeler is the first young coach Bloom has appointed.
Before that they had De Zerbi, Potter and Hughton. All of whom had experience in top flight football. | | | |

Hopefully there will be some continuity via Ashton and the board to ensure that any successor must be able to take things even further rather than revert. |  | | |
