I gotta tell ya baby. 17:24 - Oct 26 with 5839 views | Lord_Lucan | I really can’t remember when I’ve ever criticised a player. Everyone is human, everyone has off days. There are bigger things to get upset about than football. Family is everything. Hooever - it wasn’t so much the lack of a save, it’s trying to do a long throw. I mean. WTAF???????? He’s gotta be benched man.

I gotta tell ya baby. on 17:25 - Oct 26 with 4873 views | Radlett_blue | The only argument for the throwing was that he could then get the ball into an area where we could contest & have a 50/50 chance of retaining possession, while kicking it long would simply have given the ball back to Brentford.

But even if we won the header it's on halfway so highly likely to lead to a turn over and them attacking at us.. surely its better to get as far down the pitch as possible?

But it did go to a Brentford player. I only played to a certain level but even I knew that possession is everything. If you’ve got the ball then you are in control. I can understand a long kick if you are a goal down with a minute to play, but, what he done is fecking ignorant.

I gotta tell ya baby. on 17:40 - Oct 26 with 4410 views | GlasgowBlue | This x 100. Of all the positions for our recruitment team to fcuk up over, the keeper has got to be the worst. Like you, I don't tend to hang players out to dry. Not even some of the Hurst and Lsamber players who simply weren't good enough. But from the minute he screwed up against Man City I've been completely underwhelmed by Muric. His distribution is awful and his decision making is abysmal. I'd be quite happy if we made a loss on him in January and got somebody else in. In the meantime, Walton has to start. Maybe he isn't Premier League standard but he'll never give less than 100% for this team.

Thing is you can see there is a top top keeper in there, when he is good he looks very very good. However the gaffe side of things is not what you need in a premier league relegation scrap

Arsenal mate of mine said “ What the feck are you doing” when we signed him. I said “Have trust in McK baby” Feck me. He’s gonna cost us millions. Brian Clough did the one thing that Bobby Robson didn’t. As much as I think SBR is a legend, he messed up with Pat Jennings and Shilton. Jennings was one of the best keepers to ever grace the planet and Shilton made Forest an unbelievable team rather that a very good team. Clough said it’s all about a spine. Shilton, Burns, Woodcock. McK is an amazing man but we haven’t got a keeper good enough. End of. 100%

And it did within 10 seconds of landing , with a big kick it at least gets further up the pitch , not going to criticise the players and effort ……apart from Muric , relegated with WBA and Burnley there is a pattern, and that is he is not that good , lack of communication with his defenders and lacks that quality for claiming the bal , especially given his size . We move on to the next one but each game will be more and more pressure until that first win , which must come next week IMHO.

Talking of nuts. I just had a beer with Sir Arthur Souths son. Naturally I accused him of burning their stand down but he said it was a bloke called Jack Clark who did it. I think he said Jack Clark, I came into the pub early by mistake.

When has Muric looked "very good", except as a shot stopper, which is a basic requirement for a professional goalkeeper? The big differentiator for a keeper is decision making & Muric's has always been very erratic & the big problem that creates is that the defenders don;t know if he is coming or going. Burns conceded a totally unnecessary corner in injury time, presumably because he didn't get a call from Muric. The other differentiator is that a keeper these days has to be able to play with his feet. Muric isn't as bad as he was at first, but his passing is still below par.

Walton is pretty similar to be honest.. very nervy between the sticks.. I’m not sure he’s actually the answer, I suppose the answer is if they can work on muric and knock the stupid decision making out of him.

For £8m, I would expect a keeper who has some ability to make consistent decisions. Muric really shouldn't need that amount of coaching, but he hasn't actually played that much senior football. He still looks a dreadful purchase. A Burnley fan told me he was a complete nutter.

We couldn't have afforded Shilton's wage demands. He had a gambling habit to feed. Yes, Pat Jennings was going to Town in 1977, but Trevor Whymark got a bad injury & Robson decided he had to get an outfield player in instead. Big mistake - Jennings would have been immense for us, although I'm not sure which player we did sign instead.

Gotta tell ya. The Pat Jennings deal collapsed because of £25k - and even then it was a breakdown in communication. I can’t remember exactly now but I was told by a previous board member. I’m thinking possibly ……… We didn’t want Pat to commute, we wanted him to move up here. He wasn’t keen but was prepared to move to Silly Suffolk if he was given a one off payment of £25k. I think we thought it was £25k a year and it went downhill. Complete misunderstanding. Peter Shilton is now married to one of my oldest and best mates. She is a proper slapper. 😂
