So, if the holocaust never happened why envisage a jew screaming in an oven?

Whenever I’m teaching about the holocaust in RE, History or whatever it sometimes comes up about denial or whatever (innocently never had a student deny it) and where the evidence is and it’s baffling how anyone can be a denier really.
But you see how the Farage riots came about and how tropes and soundbites spread like a virus and it makes sense. When you don’t have to process the detail, you can build up these simple lies into something bigger.

These idiots along with the Farage’s and Trumps of these world prey upon ignorance and fear. Education, truth, perspective, knowledge, right and wrong are the last thing these people want.
There will always be Holocaust deniers. They’ll always find reasons to support their crazy views. It’s not difficult - but it is as MM would say bonkers.
If you look at how the Nazis operated, they deployed every trick in the book. And through self interest and outright fear most of the population went along with it or willingly supported it.
In addition to mass killings (IG Farben designed the gas ovens and still have the plans) they of course employed forced Labour (the sanitised term for slaves - sounds kinder, more 20c) across Germany and the captured countries to the tune of 25 million people. Around 2,7 million were killed, starved and worked to death. All done in such a short space of time fully supported by the people.
The madman Stalin of course took it to new heights and let’s face it, Putin’s regard for human life beyond his own is zero. People like those in the video, Trump and Farage are all over the line on levels of craziness, yet millions of people still be believe them, still ‘see their point’. They existed since man could walk, they exist now and will in the future. They should always be fought and never appeased which is why Starmer’s approach to defence so annoyed me.
Farage’s man of the people elbow on the bar with that crocodile smile routine doesn’t fool me. Neither do the Britain first fascist or the orange idiot in America. They’re all the scum of the earth. |  | | |
