I think it was more Ali stood in an offside position quite central. But the keeper could clearly see where the ball was going and it had no impact on the flight of the ball or the keepers reaction time.

Ali is in an offside position and blocks the keeper for a short while as the ball comes in, but has cleverly stepped off by the time the header is made. Also, given that the Stones Man City goal was allowed a few weeks ago, if this had been disallowed, all hell would have broken loose.
The kicker for Wolves is thats now two goals in the same circumstances allowed against them.

Happened at a match I was at midweek. Ref blowed once the attacking team had lost possession after a corner was taken. Timing should be more scientific that but it isn’t .

i thought you couldn't be offside from a corner. so as you say he had moved before the header was made ,cant see what they moaning about

He could conceivably be offside from the header. But unless he was in the keeper's direct line, or affecting his dive, the decision is correct.
The footage does suggest he was in the keeper's direct line of sight. Had the header been to the other side of the goal, I think it might have been ruled out.

Just looked at that, not in line with header and not impeding or really in eyeline tbh. Can imagine s desperate manager trying to claim it but no more than that.

I made a point to look at the size 4 font time on the scoreboard when the corner was given and it was 92:20 so I don’t think they can have too many complaints that we went on to take said corner and score from it.
