But Mckenna worked at big clubs. Assisted one of the world's best and has 2 back to back promotions.

Kompany's philosophy and work over the last few years
This was mentioned as a main reason for his selection ad manager.
Hence me feeling KM is sticking to his style as that's his principal and it doesn't harm him in anyway as he can solely blame player quality or lack of just like kompany could.
I maybe wrong and I hope I am. But those saying going down etc will hurt KM. It won't if we keep doing what we are doing as it's incredibly easy to just blame player quality. | |

Delap has only been here five minutes.
But to answer the wider point, if we go down, we will need some of them next season.

Agree, particularly if we stay up. If we go down then I can imagine a few more will stay.
Being realistic, if we go down then I'd expect Greaves, Davis, Hutchinson and Delap to get prem moves, plus Phillips and Cajuste to go back to parent clubs.
Of the 21 players that leaves, I reckon the about 12-14 would fit into the squad following an immediate return. If we replace those six players, plus a couple more (luongo and H. Clarke/Walton?) then we might "only" need 6 or 7 signings in the prem. | | | |
