Beyond the Chelsea game, Cajuste and Philips has to be the preferred midfield pairing. It’s hard on Morsy who has played pretty well but Cajuste and Philips are a level above and worked well as a pair last night. They were both more vocal last night (as were O’Shea and Woolfenden) and that leadership and organisation is something we have often lacked but needed this season | | | |

Guess it's back to the 5-2-3-1 on Monday and I will go with those who suggest a Morsy / Cajuste partnership, at least for the first half. Depending on how it goes I wouldn't be averse to seeing a change of one at half time so that either Phillips (if we need to dig in) or Taylor (if we need to threaten) mix things up.
Allied to this question though is who plays wide ? Omari was less effective last night but he was often up against talented giants, and he will have something to prove against his former club. Might all be down to recovery (and we have one day less than our opponents) to see who starts. |  |
