People seem to have forgotten we were ecstatic at signing him from Premier League Brighton, he had an excellent season in L1 and if he hadn't been injured and Hladky had the season of his life, he'd have played throughout the Championship. I remember him standing on the ball at Barnsley for about 20 seconds inviting their strikers in to create the gap for us to play through. I really don't know where the negativity has come from.

Completely agree. I think it’s a combination of things: classic football fans putting 2+2 together to get 5; forgetting the past and Muric’s big price tag. Hladky had similar at the start of last season being dubbed a “league 2 keeper”. Hoping Walton has a blinder tonight and his patience is duly rewarded.

The prospect of a Chamionship level keeper playing is more exciting when you're in League 1 as opposed to the Premier League. I hope he does well though.

Most fans get a bit excited if thier lg1 club buys a player from a Prem club. Not many are negative about Walt’s - he’s done fine, but Hladky was better with his feet last season. Muric has been a good shot stopper and excellent at claiming crosses so far this season - but made a few ricks, which I suspect Walt’s would have done of he’d been first choice from the start.

Chelsea perhaps less likely to cause trouble with crosses than Arsenal, but his dominance in the box has been a real positive for us.
