Millwall GK ban extended to 6 games. 15:10 - Mar 7 with 1698 views | SitfcB | For his challenge on Mateta. Precedent set. Would they have done that had it been a GK playing for the top 6? Probably not.

I'm not sure you can compare the two here. The challenge on Mateta was reminiscent of Schumacher on Battiston at the 1982 World Cup, and could have done really really serious life-changing damage.

That was a red, but no way anything more than that. Clumsy and reckless, but I don't believe he tried to hurt him. These things happen in fast paced, contact sport.

The Millwall tackle was poorly judged but incredibly dangerous The Omari tackle was poorly judged but incredibly dangerous There was no malice in either tackle Am I missing something?

Yeah...one tackle hit a shin pad, the other was almost a decapitation

Millwall GK ban extended to 6 games. on 16:49 - Mar 7 with 1085 views | Nutkins_Return | I think this is harsh and he has had bad treatment it I think his own fans didn't help with their chants. I think and additional 1 game would have been the right call just because of the severity but they should have made it clear there was no intent. There genuinely was no intent and he just went for the ball but the stupidity and recklessness of putting his boot up there was insane. The extra game ban would have done the job of saying it's not acceptable and we wanted to make that point despite the lack of intent. Cunha needs to be more based on this. Elbow and glasses stealing/breaking. 2 games. Soft. But now he has punched, kicked, minor headbutt and refused to leave. This is two instances and multiple acts of violence with intent + dreadful behaviour against regs.

Both going for the ball, both no intent to cause an injury, both unfortunate footballing incidents. People need to get a grip

Does it really matter whether or not malice was involved? Sometimes accidents happen but as the Millwall’s keepers tackle was dangerous and reckless it was deserving of a long ban.

Yeah, I think intent is a huge consideration.
