Partial solar eclipse 11:15 - Mar 29 with 815 viewsMiaow

Managed to see it by the not-very-scientific method of looking through a small gap between my fingers.

Should be visible until noon.

Stuff in space seems to be happening a lot more frequently these days than when I was a kid. I can only remember 1 eclipse as a kid and sticking a pin in a bit of cardboard to look at it. Now there seems to be 1 a year. Last month all the planets were in a line. The other day Musk's rocket caused a weird spiral thing above the UK. We seem to get more than 1 meteor shower a year now. The Northern Lights now seem to be permanently switched on over the UK. And then there's all the different types of Super Moon coming & going. And then there's the aliens...

Recently got back from Mexico, where I brought a large obsidian disc from an indigenous Mayan community. It. Is fantastic for viewing eclipses. Tried it out for the first time today.

There'll be a total solar eclipse that will be visible from Spain and Northern Portugal in August next year. Gonna do a trip to see it. I went to Cornwall for the eclipse in 99 but it was cloudy on the day so didn't get to see it so still outstanding on my bucket list.

Important health advice - do not look at the Sun today.
Or any other day.
This advice also applies to the Mail and Telegraph.
