Next Season - Players On Loan 12:12 - Apr 21 with 1708 viewsTractor_Boy333

Thinking about next season back in the Championship, has anyone been watching any of our players currently out on loan.

I’m just wondering if any of them are going to come back and force their way back into the squad or even the starting 11.

We’re going to need new players and it would be a bonus if we can get some players who have improved whilst away from the club and add to the squad.

That's essentially Humphreys, Clarke and AAH?

Baggott may still come good but time seems to be running out

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I still think we’ll bring in Danny Welbeck on a year year deal

Clarke and Humphries should be given a chance again

He would have lots of options in the Prem and abroad.

Truly impaired.

I think time is running out on Cam Humphreys too to be honest. The next stage of his development should be starting 25-30 games in the Championship, but I'm not sure he will get that with us and he'll be 22 in September.

There's a chance he goes back to Wycombe on a loan til January but the club might feel a relegation battle, not the best for him, so might end up somewhere like Birmingham City perhaps.

Our question could/should be, "will he develop beyond a Championship player?"

I think Taylor is ahead of him as things stand, and we will buy in the summer too in those positions, we'll be building for a return to the Prem, and I'm afraid ultimately, neither Morsy nor Taylor make that cut.

34 now I think… abroad definitely would have more appeal than the championship. But I can’t help but really like the bloke as a player.

Isn’t Harness on loan with another years option for next season?

Looks like he’s been playing lots of games for Derby.

If Humphreys can't find a role now then you would have to wonder if he ever will here. Off the back of a really good season at Wycombe, Cajuste & Phillips likely going, Luongo too. Morsy not getting any younger. Versatile enough to play in the middle, #10 or LB.

I'm not expecting him to start 46 games but I would get him right in to the fold personally.

I think your general view that it's now or never for Humphreys to play for us is fair, but I'd pick him above Taylor without hesitation.

To say that Taylor has underwhelmed since signing is an understatement. I'm honestly not sure what it is that he's good at. He's not rubbish by any means, just remarkably average at most aspects of the game.

I’d be very disappointed if Harness is getting a game here next year.

Im pretty sure he’s out of contract, but we might have an option.

He’s been a very odd signing as he doesn’t fit into our system at all. At Posh he played in a three and was much more advanced. We haven’t ever played with a midfield three, £2m doesn’t sound like a lot now, but in the scheme of things last year was an large outlay for a player who doesn’t fit into our team at all.

He would be one I’d be looking to move on in the summer for sure.

But he could cover many positions, capable of a goal which we've seen, never really forced his way in to the side so never given a run of games, not Prem quality(that's a whole new level now)but back in the Championship I wouldn't be surprised if he was once again that versatile squad filler..

We have an option and I expect we'll use it to get a fee
