Have him in a heartbeat over Palmer and Muric to Turkey is all but done by informed accounts. Keep one of Walton or slicker and find the other a move.

We haven’t quite got enough keepers for all the outfield positions yet! Nearly half way there though, so I’m sure we’ll make it happen before the window shuts.

If Pope’s fit and his shoulder injury is fully resolved, and he’d be willing to drop down a league and take a pay cut, and if Newcastle would sell him…he’d be a phenomenal signing. I can’t see any of those things happening though.

If we are signing another keeper it needs to be because he does the ball playing stuff Palmer can't IMO - Pope is brilliant shot stopper but woeful with the ball at his feet so it's a no from me.

Heard from a Burnley mate that they asked for this in the negotiations over Trafford and Newcastle weren't keen. Might want him there as experienced back up, Ramsdale has had a bit of an up and down career thus far so not sure as a Champion's League side you'd want to put all your eggs in that basket.
