More than half of the medicals I receive show an (issue) usually slight and of little concern. Sometimes there is a little more concern to it. You then make a decision, do I take the risk, manage him or eliminate the risk altogether and avoid him.That decision is usually influenced by other factors such as salary, other available options within the squad or outside of it. Failing a medical isn’t always absolute even if it is portrayed that way. | | | |

The club aren’t going to say why. We definitely wanted him though. Out bid Valencia for him,flew him over,deal done for a permanent switch next season etc………..Something went wrong. Also, bear in mind he didn't play after signing for Como in the new year. He did play in pre-season, 45 minutes here and there so it could be there are concerns over his full recovery that were highlighted in a medical.
