Yes, it’s a choice. Although people should listen to the pope’s words if we want to try to make a better future. Most of these tyrants have been voted in (Trump, Putin, Netanyahu, Assad, even Ayatollah Khomeini was put in place through a referendum). People need to stop voting for people “who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth,”. We don’t have to be religious to take those words on board.
