![]() Saturday, 2nd May 2009 15:12 Town, Everton, West Ham and Sunderland are reported to have approached crisis club Stockport regarding the availability of their Welsh keeper Owain Fôn Williams. The Blues have been linked with the 22-year-old on a number of occasions in recent months. The Hatters went into administration this week and Williams, who was recently called into the Wales squad but is still to win a cap, looks certain to leave Edgeley Park. Currently recovering from shoulder surgery, Williams was first linked with the Blues along with team-mate Jimmy McNulty, now with Brighton, back in January and on several occasions since. The 6ft 4in tall glovesman joined County from Crewe last summer having failed to make a senior appearance for the Railwaymen. Williams is expected to play his first senior games for Wales in the summer, having previously been capped at U21, U19 and U17 levels. Town may well be on the lookout for a new keeper this summer with Shane Supple out of contract. The young Irishman, currently out with a knee injury, may be keen on a move away from the Blues with Preston having watched him during his loan spell at Oldham. TWTD understands that the Blues have also been keeping a close eye on Exeter keeper Paul Jones throughout the season.
