Reading Linked With Rhodes Monday, 16th Nov 2009 08:52
Championship Reading are interested in signing former Town striker Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield, according to a tabloid report this morning. Rhodes has scored 13 goals since joining the Terriers in the summer.
The report claims the Royals will offer £600,000 for Rhodes, which it wrongly claims is double the fee Huddersfield paid the Blues for the 19-year-old.
The Yorkshire club actually paid an initial £850,000 for Rhodes with various top-ups based on appearances and a sell-on also involved in the deal.

Dobbie if we had got ouir wish and changed the manager in September I guarantee we would have had more than one win! You talk about this major rebuilding. He didnt need to do this, there is nothing you can say to me to want him to stay. He is a p*ss poor manager and I will not support him! I will support the team but not him. 2nd bottom, one win POOOOOR get him out before its too late! Skip dont you see that Keane has taken us into the relegation zone with Reading, if we had Rhodes he wuold have at least 5/6 goals more than likely equalling at least 6/7/8 more points. C*NT

@CGS "Dobbie if we had got ouir wish and changed the manager in September I guarantee we would have had more than one win!" You may be right CGS, but we will never know! Apart from the additional disruption, changing manager before now would have made Evans/Clegg look like a right pair of prize chumps because it would make it appear as though they chose the wrong guy in the first place, which obviously affects their reputation (yes I know, pride can be a dangerous thing). Of course, it may also be that they still really do fully back Keano and totally trust that he will do the job. I know many people have been comparing our situation with Darren Ferguson at Peterborough. Thing is, he had been at Posh several years and took them as far as he could (probably), so in that sense he was more like Magilton. Keano has been here a fraction of that time, and even though we and Posh have had similar starts (they have had more wins but also more defeats), Ferguson had had a fair crack of the whip, but Keano has hardly started yet. I know we will never agree - you think Keano was probably the wrong man for the job and the sooner he goes the better. For me, although I too am disappointed with our start, I think he WILL come good, and it will actually be more damaging to change manager again so soon than to keep him and trust that he will deliver. I absolutely believe that another change of manager so soon will just rip this club apart from top to bottom and guarantee relegation. With Keano I think we will survive and stabilise in mid-table, then mount a serious challenge next season. I think we will just have to agree to disagree.... KEANO!

Yeah ok CGS calm down boy! Still doesn't change the fact that you still want him to do well for one of our biggest rivals though.
