Drury Unavailable for Derby Clash Monday, 31st Jan 2011 20:48
Town's new signing Andy Drury is unavailable for Tuesday's visit to Derby having failed to complete his move before the midday deadline. The 27-year-old signed a deal until 2013 earlier today after the Blues agreed a £150,000 fee with Luton.
Drury has been given the number 17 shirt, while fellow midfielder Jimmy Bullard, who signed on loan from Hull last Thursday, will wear the number 14 vacated by loanee Jake Livermore, who is now back at Tottenham.

Oh no! Just another ten midfield players to choose from - what will we do! At least with just three strikers and no right-backs the decision making will be easier for those positions!!!!
I thought a right-back would be our priority, but unless we sign one in the next 90 minutes that must mean Jewell thinks Edwards is good enough to play there. Presumably he will keep Norris on the right of midfield then, have Leadbitter and Bullard in the middle, and Martin on the left (with Drury competing from Saturday).
I have complained on here before about Ipswich having two many midfielders and signing two more does leave us rather a list: Bullard, Civelli, Clark, Drury, Edwards, Healy, Hyam, Lambe, Leadbitter, Martin, Norris, O'Connor, Peters, Quinn...plus summer signing Hourihane and some other youngsters. We really will need to slim down the midfield in the summer I think. That said, I think Jewell has added to the creativity with the two new signings and sounds like they can both take decent set-pieces which is a big plus.
Having just got home I've not had the chance to go through all of the comments about Drury and so apologies if this has already been posted. For anyone who's not seen it though here's highlights of his two goals against Charlton in this years FA Cup. Also there are lots of very complimentary comments from Luton fans on 606 regarding his qualities.
WHAT A GOAL THAT 2nd ONE IS!!! + its against Charlton who are a league 1 side and he had a few good passes in there, the one for the penalty was his... so he looks very creative and has a heck of a strike + he can do it against a league 1 outfit why not in the championship!! He should be good, I can feel it!! COYB!!!
