Town Amongst Clubs Linked With Tyson
Town Amongst Clubs Linked With Tyson

Town, Derby County and Hull City are all reportedly interested in Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson. The 29-year-old is out of contract this summer and has not been offered a new deal at the City Ground.

The Reading-born frontman or left-sided midfielder began his career with his hometown club with whom he made his league debut in 2000. While with the Royals, 6ft-tall Tyson spent time on loan at Maidenhead United, Swansea, Cheltenham and Wycombe Wanderers.

In March 2004 he made his move to Wycombe a permanent one for an initial fee of £140,000. Having scored 44 goals in 83 starts and four sub appearances for the Chairboys, the one-time England U20 cap won a November 2005 move to Forest, initially on loan with £675,000 changing hands to make the switch permanent the following January.

While with the Tricky Trees Tyson has scored 42 goals in 144 full appearances and 69 games from the bench.

Meanwhile, QPR are reported to have made a £2.5 million offer for Watford striker Danny Graham, who is also understood to be a Town target.

Elsewhere, former Blues frontman Nicky Forster has retired from playing at the age of 37 to concentrate on becoming a manager. Forster was with Brentford last season, becoming the Bees' temporary manager towards the end of the season but is not in the running for the job permanently.

Good player, would he get the 20/25 goals Jewell wants though?? But on a free would be a decent signing i reckon, defo add to competition for places.

Can't see him going to derby (obvious reasons, plus they're rubbish :p). Pacey, big, worth a punt on a free.

This would be a great signing, but like most on here, I am sick of the speculation. Can we not have a story about someone actually signing?

Pacey, but so was Danny Haynes!

Too erratic and not a natural scorer given his 42 goals in 213 games.

If we play 433, then he would be a good left side of that 3, but he can't be the 25 goal striker.

would be a great signing very pacey would be ideal in a 433 on the left

I suppose it wouldn't be a bad signing, but we could do better.

all well and good being linked with all these players. But I seriously doubt our CEO 's ability to get the negotiation job done when competing with just about every other club that is likely to after these strikers.

Ive really got no faith in Me Clegg at all !

i'm not sure if we need him like others have said not a 20+ goal a season man, good on left side of a 4-3-3 but we already have martin, civelli and now carson who can play there.
