Andrews Keen to Remain With Town
Andrews Keen to Remain With Town

Loanee midfielder Keith Andrews says he can’t see himself going back to parent club Blackburn Rovers and has reiterated his desire to remain with the Blues. The Republic of Ireland international is due to stay at Portman Road until January.

Andrews says he has no intention of returning to Ewood Park and, despite reported interest from Premier League pair Wigan and Swansea, would like to stay with Town: "I can't envisage myself going back to Blackburn in any shape or form.

"I know I've got 18 months left on my contract there but I really don't want to be there. I've come here and had a new lease of life here. I'm sure something will get done in January."

Boss Paul Jewell recently said that he has already been speaking to Town’s loan players’ parent clubs and is keen to keep his current squad together for the second half of the season.

Defender Danny Collins's 93-day loan spell is up after the Barnsley game on December 10th and Reece Wabara is with the Blues until early January, while Daryl Murphy and David Stockdale are at Portman Road for the season, although Fulham have a 24-hour recall on their goalkeeper.

i agree with Mikeybloo and would add that he should play with only one the recent diamond4. Either Martin Carlos or Carson should take other two and give more width and pace. Bowyer is out so hopefully GL is rested until April or gets his form back, whichever is the sooner
