Campbell Set for Blackburn
Thursday, 31st Jan 2013 17:50

Former Blues loan striker DJ Campbell is now set to join Blackburn Rovers. Town’s 10-goal top scorer had previously been in talks with Crystal Palace and Hull City but was unable to agree personal terms at either club.

QPR man Campbell, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been spotted at Rovers' Brockhall training ground this evening and is currently undergoing a medical.

The way Micks so shrewd I'm sure we'll make a few signings, a winger a goalkeeper and maybe one more, especially as ellingtons gone freeing up wages to defo make at least one signing!!

Mick knows he's gotta change things, he's given the guys a chance!!

I see McLean going back to Hull also, sooner rather then later!!

Would love to see us sign the orient winger or Johnny Russell!!

All the earlier talk that he would join Palace so his family wouldn't have to move was utter rubbish then!! Would love to know what MM offered him before he went back to QPR, obviously didn't offer him enough cash, pity really as I think he would of been an excellent signing.

Miltonsnephew think you will find McLean isn't going back?

Wen you look a the competition and signings made by other Championship sides it shows how far behind we are falling!
It is obvious we are not spending big on quality signings and our youth set up still some way off.
We live in hope !

Oh dear. DJ and Rhodes together.

If we get anything out of the Blackburn game now, I think we will have done fastastically well.

Don't think mcleans gonna do a job.
Hope mick does send him back after finding a suitable replacement!!

Come on DJ come sign for town!! Also try and get N'daw signed!! Or an agreement for the end of the season!!

Best wishes to DJ - was never coming back here. The question is whether Clegg and ME can actually do some deals before the window closes. I suspect not sadly. Vast improvement required from those two.

Don't know how many times one has to sy this, we have no money. We are net even from Wickham and Walters pretty much. £200k in this window laughable.
Question can we hold onto Mick in Div one.
How is it Middleboro Blackburn Leeds don' t seem as worried about fair play balance.
What a mess.

Just wondered we brought Micks right hand men from Wolves.
The scouts, I'm hoping they are doing all they can to get us the signings we need!

I know they have a great track record, but what have they done so far for us?

Fair Play balance is just a convenient excuse for our refusal to match other Chasmpionship Clubs.

In theory Ellingtons wages won't be freed up as I am sure he will have negotiated severance pay which I have no doubt will be substantial. What a dreadful signing that was.

Why can't Mick be like Harry..." the chairman has been caught with his trousers down" by the previous regime in spending money and then go on and spend £20m more of it ?

Good luck DJ, I'd imagine seeing him in another teams shirt is the kind of feeling you feel when your girlfriend cheats on you with your brother. At least he can go and score against Bristol City on Saturday, just trying to think about it on the positive side!
