Bramble Undergoing Treatment at Town Friday, 30th Aug 2013 06:01 Boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that former Blue Titus Bramble is currently undergoing treatment on a knee injury at Portman Road. The 32-year-old, who was released by Sunderland at the end of last season, played in Town’s pre-season friendlies at Gillingham and Barnet but after fellow centre-half Christophe Berra signed wasn’t offered terms. However, the Ipswich-born academy product continued training with the Blues squad until he was recently sidelined with injury. “He’s been having treatment here, he hurt his knee a couple of weeks ago,” McCarthy said. “He’s been good to the club and is a local lad, so we’re looking after him.” Might the possibility of him rejoining the Blues be revived? “Not while he’s having treatment for a knee injury!” McCarthy joked. “No, as far as I was concerned he was going to Turkey. I brought him in, we had a look at him, I discussed it with him and he was always going to go there. "However, he’s hurt his knee, so he’s not going anywhere. But, he’s a free agent who can sign whenever he likes, so it’s up to him.”
