Bajner Set for Loan
Friday, 16th Jan 2015 14:14

Striker Balint Bajner looks set for a spell out on loan in League One with Notts County, according to Oldham manager Lee Johnson.

Johnson was keen to sign the Hungarian himself but says the Magpies made Town an offer which would “blow us out of the water”.

Bajner, 24, has had limited opportunities since joining the Blues in the summer, his sub appearance against Southampton on Wednesday was his sixth game from the bench in addition to his one start against Fulham on the opening day.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia Union winger Danny Cruz has revealed he's been training with the Blues.

This would explain the Sears and maybe Sharp arrivals! makes sense to go and give him game time!

That's good, he is terrible. One out of two was a decent result as Bru is class.

After hearing we were signing a striker from borussia dortmund, it was disappointing to see he clearly wasn't training a lot with lewandowski or Reus, doesnt look up to this level at the moment, but I'd be tempted to keep him, see how he does on loan.

Well worth him going out on loan! Great business all round today Mick.
Now all we need is someone to take Taylor away.
And sign 1/2 midfielders one centre mid and one winger!

Good news, he needs this. Ever since his debut against Fulham he's looked pretty out of his depth in this league. Just needs to get some experience of the English game under his belt and he might start to flourish. A signing doesn't have to work straight away - like all that time Mings spent playing second fiddle to Cressy - and Bajner's still a fairly young lad.

Good move, it will help him get used to the English game, hope he gets games there, I dont think he's a lost cause, yet.

Sorry, read it wrong. Saw Lee Johnson quoted and thought it was Oldham that had signed him.

Miltonsnephew...

You say "And sign 1/2 midfielders"... isn't Jay Tabb enough of a 1/2 midfielder for you? We could maybe do with a bit more height that a full midfielder would give us.

I paid a lot of attention to bajner before the Blackburn home game they were all out to practice finishing and on that one occasion I thought he was our best finisher.

Did a couple of things that attracted applause the other evening but unfortunately he also jumped for a bouncing ball as it hit the ground so it went over him as he landed.

Been saying for a while that Bajner and Sammn not good enough for what we need at the moment. Glad that Sammon left, whilst this move would really benefit Bajner. Win win. Seats and Sharp, miles better than Bajner and Sammon.
