Bristol City Youngster Linked
Wednesday, 11th Mar 2015 12:33

Town are reported to be amongst a number of sides targeting 17-year-old Bristol City midfielder Jake Andrews.

According to the Sevenoaks Chronicle, the first-year scholar is said to be interesting the Blues, Charlton, Leeds and Brighton in the Championship and Premier League sides West Brom, Aston Villa and Hull City.

Westbury-born Andrews has impressed for the League One Robins’ U21 and U18 sides this season.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s opponents Middlesbrough are reported to be heading the chase to sign former Blues striker Jordan Rhodes on loan from Blackburn.

Derby and Norwich have also been linked with the 25-year-old, but Rovers boss Gary Bowyer yesterday dismissed claims that Rhodes would be moving on: "I don't understand why we'd want to even consider loaning one of our players to rivals.”

What is wrong with our youngsters should know be producing our own young talent, give them a chance first.

Why was Keane allowed to sell Rhodes in the first place was never given a chance.

Instead of moaning about Rhodes how about we just be pleased that we are linked to an exciting young prospect. For years we have moaned about not looking to the lower leagues for talented young players and now we are. Cheer up lads.

If it commands a fee, it won't be happening

blueherts. im guessing ur not suggesting Williams coming back on loan this season? if you are then u clearly forgotten the fact that we cant sign him again this season as u can only sign a player on an emergency loan once in a season. and why is it that every time Jordan Rhodes name comes up on a story on here, people have to start going onabout how keane shouldn't have got rid. fact is, he did, iys gone and theres nothing that can be done to change it. so why go on about it. no ones going on about the fact that sir bobby rejected ruud gullit and Gascoigne among others. it happens, get over it.

So why is Rhodes out of favour at Blackburn all of a sudden? Anyone know?

Mow the lawn- not that bizarre as Sheffield Wednesday have been taken over by new owners who apparantly aren't afraid to splash the cash to get them promoted. Don't be surprised if they spend a lot of money this summer to get promoted

I'm sure Jake is a great prospect and would be a great addition for the future. But right now can we just follow Derby, Middlesboro and others who are making or breaking for promotion. We are so close, one good experienced addition could send us back to the big time. Williams would be great, and Mcgoldrick back for last 10 games would definitely help massively.

Scientists have suggested that by the year 2018 a person living in England will never be further than one metre from a person who has been on loan at Ipswich.

So our scouts have identified him, he must have no brains and run around like a headless chicken or he will not fit in. Oh and he must have the ability to hoof as far as possible

Very talented young attacking midfielder. We would be very lucky to get him. Exactly the kind of player we should be looking at.

Why do people constantly bang on about Jonny Williams like he's some sort of messiah? He hasn't been our player for 4 months now. Even if we did sign him then he'd be no where near match fit anyway.

If Sheffield Wednesday have new owners and money and want to go up appoint Roy Keane he will make sure they spend the money and not go up, sounds familiar.

Wasn't Jordan Rhodes moving on the result of family ties after Rhodes Senior was involved in some indiscretion? Not that we shouldn't let that stop us blaming Roy Keane, he does deserve it.
