McCarthy Names Strong Bench for Stevenage Cup Clash
Tuesday, 9th Aug 2016 19:03

David McGoldrick, Teddy Bishop, Christophe Berra and Cole Skuse are on a strong bench for this evening’s EFL Cup tie against Stevenage at Portman Road, manager Mick McCarthy having named his starting line-up yesterday. Academy striker Ben Morris, 18, is also among the subs.

Keeper Bartosz Bialkowski and left-back Myles Kenlock complete the 18 for the Blues’ third League Cup tie against Boro in four seasons, the League Two side having run out 2-0 winners in 2013 and Town 2-1 last year.

Town: Gerken, Chambers (c), Digby, Smith, Knudsen, Douglas, Bru, Dozzell, Grant, Ward, Sears. Subs: Bialkowski, Berra, Kenlock, Skuse, Bishop, Morris, McGoldrick.

Stevenage: Jones, Franks, Wilkinson, McAnuff, Liburd, Kennedy, Gorman, Wells, Lee, Henry (c), Conlon. Subs: Day, Fox, Pett, Hyde, Tonge, Godden, Donnellan. Referee: Charles Breakspear (Surrey).

Not at the moment jas.. What is it with us not being able to beat Stevenage? Like you said if this side cannot beat a league 2 outfit they shouldn't be in a championship squad!
