Dozzell on Target But U23s Lose
Friday, 9th Sep 2016 15:09

Andre Dozzell netted a late consolation for the Town U23s as they were beaten 3-1 by Barnsley at Oakwell this afternoon.

The home side were two goals in front at the break via Omari Patrick and Jake Charles before Jacob Brown added a third on 83, two minutes prior to Dozzell's goal for the Blues.

Town included trialist right-back Alex McQueen in their side, while Giles Coke was playing his first game since undergoing knee surgery at the end of last season.

U23s: Crowe, McQueen, C Smith, Fowler, Webber, Blanchfield, Coke, McDonnell, Dozzell, McLoughlin, Morris. Subs: Marsden, Salaudeen, Downes, Patterson, Daniels.

The U23s really have had a bad start to the season. Good to see Dozzell on the scoresheet though.

I very much doubt Giles Coke improved things.

Well taken goal by Dozzell but central midfield was cut to pieces. Blanchfield -good game.Mcloughlin -no service. McDonnell screaming for the ball but misplaced passes to him from central midfield.

Have we actually drawn or won a game that Giles Coke has played in?
