Barnsley Striker Linked With Town, Reading and QPR
Sunday, 7th Jan 2018 15:01

Town are one of a number of Championship clubs reportedly showing interest in Barnsley frontman Tom Bradshaw.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Blues, Reading and QPR are among several clubs keen on the 25-year-old.

Wales international Bradshaw started his career with Aberystwyth Town before moving on to hometown club Shrewsbury and then Walsall before joining the Tykes for £650,000 in the summer of 2016.

Bradshaw, who is 6ft tall, has been a regular for Barnsley this season, scoring 11 goals in 22 starts and eight sub appearances. His Oakwell contract runs to the summer of 2019.

Town are currently not in the market for a striker - although manager Mick McCarthy has admitted that with David McGoldrick’s contract up at the end of the season it’s possible the Irish international could move on during the window - and the Blues are close to moving on one of their frontmen, Kieffer Moore, to the Tykes for a fee understood to be £750,000.

Is he a free signing? If so will he play for free? Then ME will sign him!

It's a defender or midfielder we need but more importantly a new manager!

Why can't we be linked with a new manager

Now I am no genius BUT to me we ain't to bad up front, but have a defence which to say the least is embarrassing , I am sure that with the competent and more than capable manager we have these are but made up stories?

Bradshaw's value would be a lot higher than Moore's, so this link is hard to believe. We need to make signings with future seasons in mind, but how do we do that if MM is leaving in the summer as seems increasingly likely? I am expecting loan signings to join the players we already have on loan, just to help us stumble towards the end of the season without going down.

Just watching the Shrewsbury v West Ham game. Could be consecutive relegations. League 2 here we come, if that's the standard of league 1. My gosh this could be fun.

We are highly unlikely to pay the sort of fee this striker is valued at.

Stay where you are Tom. If you come here you'll either play in the wing or pick up a season long injury!

Easy now guys note the word linked.......9 times out of 10 the linked ones don't end up as a signing.
The world knows we are selling Moore so everyone thinks that Town are in for one.
Who are town going to get that's better than Garner or Waghorn.... no one unless we pay big money.
If Smith is on his way Town will have someone lined up and it sounds like Goldsmith from Brighton
Don't care if it's a loan as if not good we can send back.......If we had signed Iorfa it would be what a waste of money player on a long contract blah blah......And if you ever think Town could afford Celina or should town had said no to the loan.
If MM is going at the end of the season then why buy players that a new manager might not want.

The only link I want to see is our weakest one removed P.D.Q why on earth is this failure of a manager still here!!??

Why are we are linked with strikers and wide men when we are crying out for a central defender and a capable midfielder, oh! silly me that would mean Chambo and the premiership class number 8 being left on the sidelines and we all know that is not going to happen!!!!!!!!

Here we go again re our interests total utter rubbish don't those in so called charge of this club not get that those of us who seem to be the only ones left with any passion and total dedication and love of ITFC don't give a monkeys what garbage they come up with , the only news we want to here is a take over or a dipstick sacked .

Seems rather fanciful given that Barnsley have supposedly bid £750k for Moore & there has been no talk of a swap.
