Symonds Leaves Town Board
Thursday, 29th Mar 2018 13:31

Former joint-managing director Jonathan Symonds has left the Town board.

Symonds (pictured right) moved on from the Marcus Evans Group just over a year ago but remained a director of Town until confirmation of his departure today, although is understood to have had little recent involvement in the running of the club.

The 47-year-old was appointed the chief operating officer of mobile ticketing company Active PLC in January 2017 after more than 20 years with MEG.

He joined the Town board in November 2007 following Marcus Evans’s takeover and was joint-managing director with Ian Milne between April 2013 and August 2015.

Bumped into his wife in a supermarket here in the Orlando area. She had her 2 boys kitted out in the Town strip, got chatting and i ended up helping with a couple of tasks at their vacation home. As a thank-you they sent me a Town shirt which was unexpected. I found them a really nice family.

That's nice of him Florida blue. Thanking you for completing “ tasks “ for him with a football shirt he would have got for free from the club shop.

Symptomatic of all that's wrong with the club at the moment.

No one knows who he was or what he did.

I can see the sense of humour but you don't know if there is a medical reason behind it. Shame on you all.

He'd of made a good keeper though noone could get one past him
