Striker Tommy Hughes scored the winning goal from his own half of the field as Town’s U18s came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Birmingham City.

After the home side had gone into a two-goal lead, Armando Dobra levelled for the young Blues with a brace before Hughes spotted the home keeper off his line and lifted the ball over him from just inside Town’s half.

The turning point in the match for me though was the introduction of young Gibbs at half-time. 2-0 down a brave move by Aatay to bring on a schoolboy but he knew what this lad is capable of and wow did he deliver a performance. Remember his name all Liam Gibbs my MOM.
