Blues' Morsy Move "Unlikely"
Monday, 30th Aug 2021 15:27

Preston, Sheffield United and Luton are reportedly among a number of Championship sides eyeing Middlesbrough’s Sam Morsy, with Town’s interest in the 29-year-old said to be “unlikely” to be successful.

According to Teesside Live, midfielder Morsy’s Boro future is in question with the Lilywhites, Blades, Hatters and others all keen, while the Blues’ overtures for Paul Cook’s former Wigan and Chesterfield skipper are said to be unlikely to come to fruition with a drop into the third tier said not to be viewed as a good career move.

Egyptian international Morsy is said to be happy with the Teessiders despite not being guaranteed a regular place in Neil Warnock’s team.

Boro wouldn't sanction Morsy going anywhere without having added a replacement with James Lea Siliki, currently with Renne, remaining a target.

Billlm. Bu if hes saying he wouldnt want to drop down to lge1 what difference would it have made when we made the move for him. But then again, it's only a media site saying its unlikely anyway. Will wait and see personally.

I swear we are just signing players now so that cook can keep using the “time to gel” and “work in progress” excuses

We should be very happy with the business that we have done in the transfer window. Great job all round

Chanteledatractorgal its best to ignore him. Its just for attention and to get people to bite back.

Monkey blue u r a typical example of the petulant childlike section of supporters we have.
No doubt you were one of the many crying out for a total clear out and fresh start , then when we get it you expect it all to cluck into place straight away. We have released 22 players !! , and replaced about 17 so no we aren't just signing players for a laugh , we are assembling a squad .
This will annoy u too, it may take a while longer yet too!!

90Z if it was just for attention why wasn't I slamming Lambert day in day out like a lot on here? Or calling for the head of MM who kept us up the top end of the league above without a huge budget. I couldn't care less less about attention. I am however not some mindless zombie who says “keep the faith”. I say what I think, but that comment was clearly tongue in cheek.

Shame but not unexpected.

Hopefully we are in for a similar type player as we desperately need to have more bite in midfield!

Why can't people respect opinions and attack them instead? No wonder divides are so easy to create.
Of course I don't agree with Monkey's comment by the way, I think Cook just wants to get himself an actual captain and move Evans into a backup role due to his poor performances.

I think some "fans" ignorantly seem to think it's as quick and easy to find & get suitable players as it is to order something from Amazon.
They also seem to believe everyone at ITFC sits around waiting for them to post advise on TWTD before they make their move.
You can't make up some of the ignorant comments on here.

Why do people respond to Monkey Blue and his nonsense?? It's what he want and craves. He says he doesn't want attention but responds within minutes lol.

Just use the "ignore" feature on here for MOnkey_blue, you'll never see anything from him again then :)

We all want a terrier type DM but people seem to have forgotten that we have one in Jon Nolan. As i said before, at the beginning of last season when we were winning matches he was our best player. When he got injured the slide started so i hope he gets another crack of the whip with Cook.

100 percent for the goalie but we need a battling midfielder before more attacking players , the midfield has not be up to it especially Evans, slow lacks fitness and running can't just be in the team for a good pass every now and then. That seems to be the problem position for me .
