Great achievement. As well as a veteran footballer, he's a good, decent, loyal, diplomatic man. When his playing days are over, I hope he finds new ways to contribute to the sport he loves.

Bet he wishes Cook had thrown him on to defend that final corner against Shrewsbury the other year rather than Hawkins (?!?) when KVY got injured in his main position. Inexplicable decision that felt a bit spiteful given how close to the 400 mark and how little that 30 secs really mattered.

Credit to him, always keeps himself fit and unusually for a defender manages to avoid getting injured. Has the happy knack of being at the right club at the right time, his declining capability always fitting the level of his club's expectations. He could carry on for years working his way down the pyramid.

A top professional IMHO, yes he's past his prime but he's a proper defender.

Key part of the move in which my favourite goal of 14/15 season was scored. Chambers and Bishop combined to supply the giant that was Jay Tabb muscling in between 2 defenders to power a header home.

By all accounts a really decent and loyal chap.

Should have packed it in years ago!!!

Because he never made a tackle. He was always running backwards allowing opposition to run at him. He may have been a great bloke off the pitch but on it he was the worst Captain we ever had. Nothing was his fault. It was always someone else on the pitch that messed up when we and the opposition could all see he was the weak link in our team.

henryblue most of the people complaining on on this forum about us being in Division 3 have forgotten that Captain calamity was the reason we are in this poor division. They are moaning about Kieran not getting us out but they forget the reason why we are here in the first place -poor memories.
Kieran will get us out of this league be it this season or next season. If social media was around in Sir Booby Robson's era or Sir Alex Ferguson's era neither of them would have achieved anything as football managers. You can not buy a team, no matter how much money you spend, as Chelsea and Nottingham Forest have proved this season. Team's are built by players playing with each other week in week out which is why I'm a little annoyed at all the changing each week by Kieran. Sir Bobby never had that problem as he only had a squad of 15 players.
