Town Launch New Website as TownTV Studio Build Under Way
Thursday, 29th Jun 2023 09:44

Town have launched their new website, the first of a number of developments with the club’s in-house media this summer.

The website, which can be found at the same https://www.itfc.co.uk URL, has been produced in partnership with Urban Zoo and takes over from the previous iFollow site, the club having ended its association with the EFL media supplier this summer.

A new club shop site has also been unveiled at https://shop.itfc.co.uk. Town are encouraging fans to sign up to the new retail site now with traffic expected to be high this weekend.

Town will launch an official club app and TownTV, the replacement for the iFollow subscriber service, next month.

Work on the TownTV studio, which will be in the old gymnasium behind the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand, is under way with Manchester-based company Audio Schemes having posted images of its progress on its Facebook page.

Awesome, a club to be thoroughly proud of that's striving for the best 😊💙

The contrast between how the club is being run now to how Marcus Evans was running it into the ground previously is mind blowing!

Regency, someone on this site (it could've been more than one person) whilst we were in the depths of our malaise under Evans actually said “thank God we've got Evans!” 😂 I wonder how they're feeling now?! 😂

I'm really excited for Town TV. I will sign up for the first time and start watching matches live depending on the price of course. I'm anxious to hear some details. Surely there must be an announcement coming soon.

Hope the matches are accessible to us Town Fans living abroad. I might live in the Paradise of Hawkes Bay in NZ but man I miss the match days

If they're expecting heavy traffic on the new club shop website this weekend, does that mean the new kits are being released?

I'm still seeing the old site on all my devices - forced refresh or not. Anyone confirm seeing the new one yet?

Takes a while for new sites to filter all the way around the web but will appear eventually.

Sky has all the EFL rights, I expect to be dissapointed with Town TV. It will be higlights only I expect with only the odd Tuesday cup game possibly live and to pay through the nose for the privilege I expect. Hope I am wrong but......

I really hope you're wrong .. a bunch of us in Phuket Thailand gathered for every afternoon L1 game last year to watch on iFollow.. Then we discovered various IPTV services that also gave us the live Sky and FAcup games. I'd be amazed and super disappointed if TownTV doesn't allow overseas fans to watch every game.. somehow. I'm sure we'll be ok. And can we please have Brenner and Mick Mills back in the box!!

For any “Tractors” in Asia feel free to join our growing Asian WhatsApp group. We have fans in 7 countries now. Ask at https://chat.whatsapp.com/I8BBbBemTuEF5X06habFOf

Just read this (below) on new website… taken literally TownTV won't broadcast every game live and this could mean the termination of iFollow will result in overseas fans losing live coverage unless Sky broadcasts every game (??) and we can find access via IPTV.

“”TownTV …. will launch next month and will provide fans with access to behind-the-scenes footage, extended features and highlights. “”

Exactly how I read the statement. I expect those of us who relied on iFollow will now be left high and dry.

@PhuketPete

Hello from Hua Hin!
That sounds horrific news. Watching Ippy from Thailand was great.
Is this the first time the club hasn't 'thought something through'?

And forget a new kit...many fans just want to buy a flippin' BLUE CAP from the shop, with the name 'Ipswich' on it!

Since losing my favourite cap on a motorbike taxi in Bangkok, I simply can't believe we can't buy a traditional blue hat with our team on it lol.
Who on Earth made that decision??

We once managed to sneak into the 'gym' during a Tuesday night fixture in the mid/late eighties. No trouble caused just a lot of fun kicking a ball around - I seem to remember they had footballs hanging down from ropes used for header practice. Different times.

Does anyone here honestly believe our US Based owner group will NOT broadcast matches live for overseas supporters. There is no chance that will be the case. COYB
