New Kits Fastest-Selling in Club History

The Blues’ new kits, which were released on Saturday morning, are the fastest-selling in the club’s history.

More than 15,000 shirts have been sold since the weekend with 9,000 orders taken online with many of those already dispatched.

The home kit is reminiscent of the strip worn between 1981 and 1984, while away the Blues will return to maroon, as previously worn from 2003 to 2005 and the Barcelona-style strips from 2015-17 and 2019-21.

The strips, once again produced by Umbro, are available now from Planet Blue and online.

Help added 14:39 - Jul 10 It would be interesting to know people's reason for buying the kit, and I appreciate there will be lots of different reasons. If it is the prem thing. Always buy them anyway. Actually like them. Not far off a stadium full of shirts.

For me since Umbro took over, the home & the away (red & black) shirts from the League 1 promotion winning season, & last season's white 3rd kit shirt, are vastly better looking shirts, but none of them will be worn at home to Liverpoor or away to Man City in the league next month.

EricsGate added 15:24 - Jul 10 Just for info, if you head to the club shop to buy and want the Prem Badge, you have to pay then its around an hours before you can collect. Got mine yesterday.

PortmanSi added 15:45 - Jul 10 Is there a rule stopping clubs putting the Premier League on the shirt (I.e. pre-package it and add £5 to the price)? I’m sure a fair chunk of us want the logo. I got the shirt on Saturday, but have to take it back on to get the logo put on as they’d stopped printing by mid-afternoon.

Hell, half the time the orders arrive faster than I buy something in the US. Their customer service has been outstanding when I've ordered from them. They've fixed the odd issue that arose. And I've been treated well.

This might be just me but why do people wear the away shirt for home games it's so annoying. It would be amazing to see a sea of blue for the first home game of the season . When we play West Spam at home i bet some people will wear the claret away shirt that will look good. Am i a sad bar steward or just to fanatical about my team. So come on fans show you are a true blue and wear the blue shirt COYB.
