In that time we’ve had 3 new Phils and 6 new Gavs. But who can go back further than 1999? It must be a few of you, I seem to remember it being pretty well established (and more polite) even back then in the relatively early days of the internet. |

I thought exactly the same. I do think the ref was poor at times but she was just on his back all the bloody time. I genuinely expect TNT sports will have a word with her about that. Or at least I’d hope so. |

But Southampton play FOUR times before we next play a match. What odds that they will be above us by the time we kick of on evening of the 27th? I can’t lie, it’s got me a little worried. |

Thanks man, I know logically that you’re right. Not always easy to be logical though, especially when it comes to this club. Whatever happens in the next few weeks, what a season we’ve had! The last 2 years really, have been, I’d imagine, beyond most fans’ wildest dreams given what went before. And the club is in a good place I think: long term backers making good long term decisions, a great manager, sell out crowds, and we’re in the crazy position that a play off place would almost be considered a failure. I’ll do my best to just enjoy the ride. |

I’m a little nervous about tonight. And the weekend actually. I might be wrong but I feel like we need 6 points from those two, otherwise it’s advantage Leeds/Leicester. I know I shouldn’t think like this- we’ve seen both of our rivals slip up recently, and there’s no reason they won’t do it again*. But I feel we need to go into the Hull and Coventry games being happy with a point in each. Don’t want to be chasing the game. * I actually can’t see Leeds having many bad days between now and the end of the season. But Leicester look shaky as fcuk and you can make an argument for them losing any of their next 4. |

Thanks guys, I draw extra confidence from yours. I’d say one more win would have us at 100% in my mind, but I think I’m being a little ridiculous. |

Just a quick ask around. Are you guys even checking the 7th place team to see how far we are away from not getting a play-off place? Or do you feel it’s absolutely locked in? I’m still checking but perhaps I’m being hopelessly pessimistic. Thoughts? |

My only memory from that game is the score, and the north stand chanting ‘Burley, what’s the score?’ (he was playing) and him likely mishearing it as ‘Burley, give us a wave’ and holding up both hands, suggesting the score was 5-5. No idea why that has stayed with me. |

I think there are a few people clouded by preconceptions of players. Ladapo is in the 30+ category, and his playing history looks a little like that of a lower league journeyman. It just means he gets a lot less in terms of a grace period, if he’s not scoring. I think we’re lucky to have him as an option, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is his last season at the club. |

That’s largely what I did in my previous house, with a dongle, if that’s what you mean?. It worked fine. I’ve got another week until I get the Wi-Fi up and running, hence looking for alternatives. I guess I’ll have to be patient! Thanks for taking the time to reply though., |

I see, thanks: I didn’t realise having a dish meant you need a box. I think with an aerial it can just go straight to your tv, without the need for a box, but that might be wrong too. I don’t have sky glass, so I doubt it’s that. The tvs are several years old. I’m actually in north Suffolk too, so would you mind popping round and sorting it? Ta. Theoretically, could I buy any box, or is it more complicated than that? |

I’m about to demonstrate my lack of electrical know-how, and probably basic intelligence. I’ve just moved into a new house. The living room has two cables that look to me like standard aerial cables. I believe they are called coaxial cables. They are coming into the house from a dish attached outside, so maybe not your standard aerial cable after all. I’ve tried connecting each one to the aerial input on my tv. I’ve tried both cables, and I’ve tried it on two different TVs, so I don’t think my TV is the problem. I just get a ‘no signal’ error each time. What am I doing wrong? How can I find out if the dish itself is faulty? And why do I have two cables, where would I attach the other one given my TV has only one inlet that fits. Thanks in advance! |

We have more than double their points this season- I can’t believe many would have predicted this back at the beginning of August. |

As I understand it parachute payments are only for 3 years IF the club has been in the prem for more than one season. So whatever they got this summer (30 or 40m maybe?) will turn to nothing next summer. They do have a couple of good players who could command a decent fee- Sara and Howe for example, but it’s going to be a massive challenge. I bet their wage bill is easily double ours. |
