Ambrose And Bent Reunited Face To Face Written by Pessimistic on Wednesday, 7th Jan 2015 16:12 They were teenage mates playing in the Town youth team I recall. I once saw them over here in the Netherlands in an under-18 tournament and Lewis Price was in goal. Since then their football paths have rarely met so it will indeed by intriguing if they come face to face on Saturday when the Blues take on Derby County at Portman Road. I don't want to sound like the harbinger of doom and gloom but I fear for this one. Bent has this rather annoying habit of scoring on his debut and surely there is no greater incentive for him that to put a nail in our football coffin if he gets the chance. Darren Ambrose will also be out to prove something and after his sublime headed goal against Southampton and I really do hope he is in from the start. I am delighted that we have one half of that wonderful duo back with us again - even if it is only until the end of the season and I can only assume that the reason that the other Darren is not joining him back at the club where it all began is purely financial. I would be contented with a draw at home this Saturday and ecstatic if we win! The truth is though a defeat is long overdue and if we are to lose then surely it is better to drop points here then against lesser opposition later in the season I suspect. Whatever the result on Saturday I just hope the Blues do themselves justice and perform well. The Sky cameras will be there, of course, and in front of a big crowd an early goal could literally raise the roof! When the place is rocking Portman Road can be as intimidating as anywhere so we must go for the jugular on Saturday afternoon and strike when the iron is hot!
