Making it hostile despite the announcement is bizarre. I expect the players don't appreciate it. I have played in front of hostile crowds and it is great when it is the opposition, you gain a yard of pace. When it is your own it is awful, I didn't have it often but when I did the game was horrible. A pal of mine was driven out of bury town by the crowd, the bloke was a goal machine but the groans got worse and worse and he just couldn't find the net for them. | |
