Sorry if already been discussed, but what are people's thoughts on this?
To me, there isn't really anything wrong with this. The main gripe with the majority of us last year was that the football was predictable and stale. The main quote coming from this was countless fans mentioning they wouldn't renew if Mick was still here next season.
Not only has Evans dismissed Mick, but has realised his error in raising the prices so has slashed them by 10%, the lowest since 2010 I think it was reported.
However I'm still seeing many fans mention that the deadline should be extended until we know who the new manager is. I don't see why it should matter, Mick has gone and that was the main calling point, so for a 10% price decrease I would have thought this would be fine with Evans making the right waves. I get that the price increase is rather sharp after the deadline, but if a fan is purely waiting for the manager announcement, surely if it's their dream appointment the price after shouldn't really come into question, knowing about the risk of this since the end of march.
If Evans were to extend the deadline then great, but I really don't think we should expect him to do this when we've known the situation for just under a month now. |  |

It will be a shame if a lot of people don't buy season tickets especially if a good new manager is appointed. A lot of supporters might want a season ticket but will be put off by the high price. They should extend early bird deadline until start of the season to maximise sales. |  | | |

Ultimately that's the risk you take. It sounds like your main problem is the manager, if we appointed your dream manager would you pay the increased price? | |

If you cancel your direct debit you'll get a snotty letter from the club basically telling you your season ticket will no longer grant you entry into the ground. That's it. They don't chase you for the rest of the money.
I know this because I accidentally cancelled my direct debit a few years back when ifollow (or whatever it was called at the time) decided to charge me for a subscription I had never asked for or given them permission to charge me for. |  |

Price is a misnomer. If confidence was high that we'd in and around the promotion berths or play-offs (regardless of the type of football on offer), most would renew.
There's now a lack of confidence but also, many other things to fill ones time with on a Saturday. |  |

I have been saying this for ages.....it is NOT a 10% decrease in the Season Ticket price...and is pretty obvious from the latest communication. If it was truly a 10% cut then we would not be facing paying the same FULL price as last season. Its a bit of a con....alongside the fact that a manager is not in place before the deadline. They have NOT done anything to help the senior ticket situation, which they made an almighty faux pas with, and under 12 is still 5 times the price since raising it last year to the year before. Come on folks...you STILL are being taken for gullible muppets...Evans must try harder to win back folks such as I. |  |
