Weird that link went stone cold and then has come back tonight.
Also seems odd that Hurst has signed Chalobah, Roberts, Donacien and chased McKay. All of whom seem to have multiple positions and some confusion attached from fans and other clubs as to where they should play.
Makes me think that the hard running, fitness first approach Hurst likes is behind that. If you’ve got 5 or 6 players with versatility then you can be much more fluid in game. Suggests more tactical continuity to me with what he inherited, kept and will sell. |  |

IIRC Phil described him as a winger, Fulham fans had him down as a CM. I wondered if he was coming a wide player who could do what Sessegnon did and play up and down the line given how Hurst likes his FB’s to attack and cover.

According to transfermarkt.com he's a defensive midfielder who can also play on the left; I hope he isn't a loanee who may potentially damage the development of Downes inparticular. I know I shouldn't be negative about incoming signings but I've never liked us being a breeding ground for other club's players; it's not so bad when we're weak in that particular position (see Fraser/Lawrence) but we're not in defensive midfield with Skuse, Chalobah and Downes already on board. | |

I’d say Rocky is likely right with Jonas potentially off, that’d be where we have need and Edun like the signings I mentioned has multiple roles potentially if needed. | |
