Well exactly, that's why dropping the keeper is such a big call. I think you have to back your number 1 in August, especially one with his credentials. Bad start to the season or not dropping a striker is a kick up the backside.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear Bart had a slight knock in training (though Hurst May have been on the radio by now saying otherwise) hence he wasn’t risked. But he has been very poor this season and it’s nice, in a way, to have a manger who’s willing to give a player a kick up the backside by dropping them, rather than doing nothing or badmouthing them in the press. | |

The problem is certain posters dislike certain players, and will at best always undertake staggering feats of mental gymnastics, and at worst just make stuff up, in order to find reasons to slate their chosen player.

There's arguments for both, but if a player isn't performing and the understudy is doing everything asked of him (he didnt do anything wrong today) then why not? Manager is best placed to make that decision. | |
