Genuinely bends my brain that people still try to blame Labour for Brexit, or to implicate them in the decision. Fine, they have made a woeful opposition over the last few years, but Brexit lies entirely at the door of the tories.

So you think it was fine for Labour to fight a general election with a policy of leaving the EU, but then to do the opposite? If they wanted to oppose Brexit, fair enough, but they should have said so at the election.

I can't forgive them for supporting brexit at the last GE. They didn;t have to do that and its led to that bs line about 80% of MPs backing brexit. Their hands are anything but clean, although fairs fair, its the Tories who get the most blame by far.

They didn't lie. They put forward their version of Brexit. They didn't win the election so they can't implement it. I'm not sure what you're struggling with here. If the Brexiteers in May's government backed her deal it would sail through.

Then maybe they should come up with policies that will make sure they win.

Really? just said, as in since 7.30pm? That would be remarkable. Did he say or give a hint that he'd spoken with other MPs across both main parties?

Just reflects the type of leader Corbyn is. His approach throughout this whole Brexit fiasco has been woeful. In fact, I would say he’s actually weakened Labour’s position. Honestly, would he have made a better fist of it than TM? He really wouldn’t!! [Post edited 20 Mar 2019 20:21]
