We hear arguments about voting for one party or another but what about the people with apathy towards British politics. I heard someone on the radio the other day saying it's a disgrace if you don't vote. If you don't vote you can't really moan can you but a disgrace....bit ott I thought.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

Draw a big X next to the Labour candidate’s name to show them how much you despise them.
nah, can't vote for either of the two nasty parties.

In that case, draw a big X next to the Labour candidates name to show how much you despise the two nasty parties (CON & BXP)
i'd forgotten about the brexit party - what an array of nastiness we have on offer, every form of racism catered for. i'll stick to spoiling my ballot.

yes , why on earth did those poor souls in the past fight for the vote
They fought for the right to vote. A right i'm grateful for and have used many times. I do not NEED to vote though. They didn't find to demand everyone used their vote.

So you won't mind if, next time your democratic right is under threat, nobody bothers to defend it.

The suffragettes?
The victims of the Peterloo Massacre?
Countless others in the various struggles over the centuries against autocracy in this country?
I only asked that question because we always hear, and the idiot on the radio who called people a disgrace used it to, that people fought in the wars so we could vote. .

The choice is with yours but I would encourage you to look at the local polocies the candidates are offering. I know the general idea is people will vote with a government in mind, but it is definitely worth voting to have your say locally. Even if they wont win, once a candidate reaches over a certain threshold they get their deposit back. This can make a world of difference to smaller parties, and even help them grow over the coming months/years.

I don't see the connection? I have used my vote in the past and i'm grateful to have the option. If I don't vote one time is it wrong? Spoiler: it isn't.
